This is an ink with one crazy long name, but luckily it’s good enough to justify it. There’s some serious discussion about whether or not Akkerman inks are simply re-bottled Diamine inks. I haven’t seen anything to convince be either way, but I will say that this ink is VERY similar to its supposed analog, Diamine Prussian Blue (which, coincidentally, I also love).

There are but a few fountain pen inks I’ve tried that exhibit such a well-behaved disposition on cheapo copy paper, and Sei-Boku is one of my favorites.
Not only does it go on the page without feathering and have zero issues with bleedthrough, but it also exhibits two characteristics when written with flexible nibs that are hard to come by on copy paper: heavy shading and heavy sheen.

Here’s a vibrant purple ink from Private Reserve. It’s a very “loud” color, but didn’t particularly strike me as special, though I know it has a pretty strong following.
